After 20 years of mixing, making, and spreading joy through handmade soaps and scrubs, Chris Clarke is hanging up her apron at Sunrise Soap Company. A favorite stop on Beaver Street for visitors and a go-to place locals loved to share with out-of-town guests, Sunrise became a true York County attraction under her leadership. In recognition of her passion and impact over the years, Clarke was awarded Explore York’s Makers Spirit Award at our Annual Tourism Industry Event in January.

Chris is the heart of York County’s Maker Spirit – pouring her creativity into every product that helped make Sunrise a true gem. Her enthusiasm and partnership will be missed.
